In March of 2019, the very beginning of the pandemic and lockdowns all over the world, I joined the Shiro team in developing a new online interactive web experience. We invited 50 people from across the world to record their experiences — their activities and their feelings — for 30 days during the (first) peak of the pandemic.
After 8 months of building and iterating, we completed Odyssee, a digital mural that aggregates the recorded realities of those 50 individuals.
By weaving these experiences into aggregate visualizations, we hope to spark dialogue about our collective emotions and routines during such tumultuous times.
